Here some answers to the most common questions about how our service works and which are the most important answers on the question why to use us.
Can I render everything?
No. We cannot and we shall not. To give a high quality and professional service we have to receive jobs with minimum requirements. The basics are that the scenes don´t contain lost textures, that they use rare plug-ins or that there is no output path defined, or similar. All these aspects are checked by our plug-in which should alert you before upload.
Which plug-ins are supported?
We dispose of a broad offer of plug-ins installed in our farm which are the most commonly used in the market. These plug-ins have been bought or we have come to an agreement with the producer to give even better support to the user.
We are constantly integrating new ones, commercial or free ones, so we need that our users inform us about their needs when they detect during their tests that something is missing. Some of the supported plug-ins are (autograss, MultiScatter, Forest Pack, RailClone, an(i)ma, and many more).
How do I get a cost estimation?
We use the unit Ghz for CPU processing since it is the most commonly used. In “Pricing” you have access to our cost estimator. It is a fast indicator. Th cost of an 8core server for example cost 0,80 € per hour in low priority.
Do I have to install any programs?
No. Our control panel is web based and all programs which send and receive scenes are Java applications which are directly called through internet when they are needed. The only thing which is necessary is that you have Java installed correctly in your computer and that you copy (not install) our plug-in for your 3D application to your machine. The plug-in allows then the direct upload of your scene from within your 3D application. You can get these plug-ins from our control console or manually from our Download section.
How can I pay?
Our system subtracts the consumed credit from your user account. At register you receive a welcome bonus for testing or you can make a recharge if you need more.
All payments are done by PayPal with your credit card or through PayPal credit if you have an account. You do not need to have a PayPal account for using the service.
Is the payment safe?
We do not interfere in the payment process. We only redirect your payment request to PayPal. So you enjoy the whole guarantees of one of the biggest online payment services world wide.
How works billing?
At buying credit you will be asked for the billing data and you will receive by mail the bill with the inserted data. Since we are located on the Canary Islands the service is Tax free for you. If you are located on the Canary Islands you have to pay the IGIC of 7%.
My credit expires?
No. You dispose of it when you need it.
What happens if anything fails?
We won´t tell you that it does n´t since there is absolutely no system which never fails. We work every day to guarantee that all jobs work properly and that they don´t need to be supervised, but it is not always like this. In occasions we receive a scene which needs a special plug-in, in another occasion fails the user´s internet connection, a file is corrupt, …
For these cases you dispose of a support channel via email, our Facebook page, Twitter, Chat, Skype and a report button in your console which reports information that allows us to act asap.
In these cases we will ask for your explicit authorization to access your scene in order to give you the best service possible.
Can you help me with a scene configuration?
It is not our job to do your job since we do not know what results you expect. Our objective is to calculate your scenes. But this does not mean that we won´t give you a hand on how to use our service in an optimal way.
Where do you store my archives?
All jobs that enter are automatically processed by an entry server and sent to the render queue with the configuration from our plug-in. The system informs you automatically when the render starts and when it finalizes so that you can start download. Once you download your project and select “Delete” in your console, the project is deleted from our servers.
In case a project in finished (without being deleted) or suspended in the render queue, a weekly cleaner service is activated which informs the customer that the project will be deleted for reasons of confidentiality.
Our support personnel does not have access to the scenes or to the render in process if it does not receive an explicit request and authorization from the customer.
How does the service work?
Having installed a Browser on your machine the only thing you have to do is press “Render in RenderFlow” in the plug-in within your 3D software. The plug-in for your 3D application you receive automatically from our control console or manually from our Download section.
How much does the service cost?
The price depends on the number of machines employed in the processing and the time they are calculating. The unit is Ghz which symbolizes a machine with 1 Ghz working for 1 hour. In our farm this would be 0,06€.
Therefore anode with 12 cores at 2,6 Ghz /31,2 Ghz) cost you 1,80€ per hour.
What render motors and 3D software do we support?
We support several platforms with several motors each:
3dsmax (Default/Vray/Mental/iray)
Cinema4D (Internal/Fisico/Vray)
Maya (Mental/Vray)
Blender (Internal/Cycles).
We support multiple plug-ins and their number increases steadily when we receive new requests.
